I love to plate my dinners. Amy loves to eat my dinners. We both love snapping photographs of how I’ve platted my entrée. I feel this is my one true creative outlet. It is my way of communing with my Wild Woman. It is my passion.
I have hundreds of photographs just like this one featured to the left: Blood Farm Ribeye Steak with Brussels Sprout Kabob and Oven Fried Sweet Potatoes. Each photograph was taken either by Amy or me and every photograph is of an authentic Tiffany P. Eason creation. I take mostly ordinary ingredients place them thoughtfully, artfully on a plate and spin a creative title for each dish, which I consider restaurant worthy. My goal is to plate a dish, that if set before me in a restaurant, I’d be happy to pay top dollar for. And when I manage the “I’d so pay for this” I take photographs, lots of photographs.
I want to post my plating adventures as an inspiration for other home cooks and as a personal challenge to out-plate myself. Thus was born “On the Plate” which is several pages of just photographs taken of my wonderful little culinary creations. I call it “My Flavor Gallery.”
